I enjoy mixing mediums and media of acrylic painting, staining and countless techniques in creating
pieces of driftwood artwork.
I was born in Cushing, Oklahoma in 1961. 1 moved to Miami, Florida when I was 3 years old with my
Father, Mother and Sister. I relished art at a very young age, in which I was given the chance to draw the
elementary play backdrops. During middle school years, I moved to my Grandparents on their small
farm in Oklahoma.There, my art interest grew for nature and animals in the form of sketching, pastels
and oil painting.
I joined the military at nineteen in Miami. I then took up airbrushing for several years. After suffering
from a serious injury in the service, I was honorably discharged as a disabled veteran from the U.S.
Service in Pensacola, Florida. I lived in the Florida Panhandle for many years and had my only child there,
a beautiful daughter.That's where I fell in love with the coastline and beaches for artwork inspirations,
even today.
I took a position with a large specialized interior construction firm and applied my art and design
abilities to my work for the next 31 years around the state. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis later
in life, which cut my exceptional career short in 2014. I'm now making the best out of life in the
gorgeous Florida Space Coast Area. I started creating art out of local driftwood as a way to keep my
mind sharp and get my required physical exercise on the beaches. I enjoy having the time to work on
different art pieces for weeks or sometimes months now.
