Thank you for contacting me regarding your permit and
inspection. I am sorry to hear that the fire sprinkler connection broke,
especially when your were at the completion stage. I would say at this
point you may want to wait until you have completed correcting the
damage. If this takes longer than expected and the permit nears
expiration, under the circumstances I would grant an extension to allow
completion.

Mr. German
We received the above permit for remodeling of Unit #402 at 8934
Puerto Del Rio on January 4, 2017.
The work at the unit was essentially completed last week except
for the installation of an additional fire sprinkler head as requested
by the Canaveral Fire Rescue.
During the installation of this sprinkler head one of the
connections broke and flooded Unit #402 causing damage to the flooring
and trim, but apparently not the electrical or plumbing items.
The leak has been corrected last Friday.
We will now deal with the insurance company and subsequently
replace most, if not all, flooring and trim. This will require that
toilets, vanities and a tub will be disconnected and then re-connected
and the hot water heater replaced.
Please let us know if you want us to call for a final inspection
at this time or if you want us to wait until the damage from flooding
has been taken care of.
