Early
One of our residents came to me after 10:15 Mass today at Our
Saviour's Church. I have never seen this gentleman so upset since I've
known him. He told me Wes Morrison erected his political signs two
weeks ahead of their assigned date for the Nov. 7 election. According
to the Regulations for Temporary Signs in the city, these signs should
be placed 30 days prior to the Election Day. If my calculations are
correct, October 7 would be the appointed time to erect these signs.
What is the penalty for disregarding these regulations? Will the Code
Enforcement staff of our city enforce this rule? If a candidate cannot
abide by the Election regulations, how can he operate on the City
Council within the framework of our government and all of our
ordinances???? Angela Raymond
