I took up painting in earnest after moving to Maine in 2006, where my work
has been in juried, group and solo shows throughout the MidCoast of
Maine. I retired in 2010 as a Software Manager, and started snowbirding
to Cape Canaveral with my wife and partner of 40 plus years, Alexandrine.
In 2015, we moved to Cape Canaveral full time, and I set up a studio in the
Cape Canaveral Professional Center. Transitioning from painting the
rugged beauty of the MidCoast Maine to painting the floral brilliance of
Space Coast Florida has been a most interesting and welcome challenge.
When not painting, I am an avid runner and we are newbie RVers,
discovering as many of the Florida State Parks as we can.
My paintings are direct, clear compositions based on photos I have taken,
using a viewpoint hopefully that has visual interest and provides a feeling
of being there.
