HomeMy WebLinkAboutCode Enforcement Records6/16/16 Late Friday afternoon I received a complaint from David Dickey, Community Development Director that there was a POD located in front of Bernie Lennon 126 Oak Lane property/on his property. Went out immediately and observed a POD, which appeared to be in Right of Way and possibly on a portion of Bernie's property, definitely in front of his property. The POD appeared to belong to 131 Oak Lane. I knocked on the door and Mr. Bowman answered. I asked if the POD belonged to him and he replied yes. I explained that we had received a complaint and that all PODS require a permit. He stated there had been a POD prior to this one and he had gotten permission from Mr. Lennon to place the POD there, this was the second POD (very small), and he just assumed it would be OK. He informed me that we was unloading the POD Saturday and have the company pick it up by Monday. I asked for his contact information, provided my business card with my work cell number, and thanked him for his time. Mr. Bowman 810-441-4573 While at the property observed water from the construction of their pool (131 Oak Lane) draining into a trash can and overflowing onto the dirt road and Mr. Lennon's property. Upon returning to the office, I immediately contacted the pool company and requested they send someone out to redirect the water to the back of the property today. They informed me that the people behind 131 Oak Lane had complained about the water and that was why they had placed it at the front of the property. I explained that there was a swale located at the back of the property for water run-off and the water should be directed to the back of 131 Oak Lane. The employee told me she would get in touch with the crew and take care of the issue immediately. Mr. Bowman called me on my cell phone and informed that the POD Company would remove the POD Monday. 6/21/16 A follow inspection revealed the POD gone and the water stopped from running toward the street.
