HomeMy WebLinkAboutRE Plans for Oak Lane - Public Records Request (3)Good morning Ms. Seidel, The City of Cape Canaveral acknowledges your request for public records. In your original request below, you state " I would like to have a copy of any correspondence with any person or entity regarding the development of Oak Lane". At this point we’re not sure how large the amount of records will be, but we do need to know how you would like these "copies". Below are options for you to choose from: 1. Paper records are 15 cents per copy 2. Emailed/electronic records are free, but if the amount hits a certain threshold, this may not be an option due to space limitations and/or staff time 3. You may choose to come by the City Clerk's Office at City Hall and view them on a computer; and choose which records you want hard copies of We anticipate approximately 5 -7 days at the most for the individuals involved to gather their records. In the meantime, please let me know what manner you prefer to receive the records and we will try to accommodate promptly. If you have questions or need anything further, please feel free to call me directly at 321-868-1220 x220. Thank you. The drawings are being reviewed by City Public Works Staff. The apparent boundary lines were used for this project. This effort only includes existing City right-of-way as indicated by a review of recorded property deeds. This does not include the expansion of the existing Oak Lane right-of-way. > > The improvements to Oak Lane are not budgeted. > > Also, I have forwarded your email to Mia Goforth, the City Clerk, to respond to your public record request. He said he was unaware of anything in writing , and he called you on the phone, and relayed your response, which was that there was nothing in writing or to see at this time. He explained that the process is that a contractor can make such plans and then the city reviews them. Brian Palmer said that perhaps a contractor with the name of John Picar ( if I heard that correctly) might be working on such plans. > > I realize that I was probably not precise enough in what I was asking, so here are my additional questions. > > Is there a contractor currently working on such plans? If so, what is his name? Who has hired him to do so? Has the City hired a person or tasked a person within city staff to assess options for the road? These options could include the following: preliminary engineering plans, improvements, streetscape, sidewalks, reclaimed water, paving, and other options. > > I would like to have a copy of any correspondence with any person or entity regarding the development of Oak Lane. > > Thank you for your help with matter. > > Sincerely, > > Kathryn Seidel > tel. 321-368-1833 > Florida has a very broad public records law.
