HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-06-1965 Special MeetingSPECIAL COUNCIL lE,*TI`;G May 6, 1965 The City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral met in Special session at 5 o'clock at the City Hall, 7410 Astronaut Blvd., Cape Canaveral, Florida. The Meeting was called to Order by Mayor Thum and the roll was called by the Clerk. Officials present were: Mayor Richard R. Thum, Councilmen: hk. Eberwein, Jack Hurck and Eugene Jandrrau, City Attorney - T. David Burns, City Clerk Donna J. Anderson, Sergeant - At -Ams - Van Bailey. Item 1. City Hall Bid Awards Mayor Thum read Bids submitted as follows: .Stills & Varnum $35,475.00 Old Forge 36,547.73 S. & T. 37,162.00 Jarvis 38,834.00 Bob & Jim's 1,0,855.48 Mr. Jandr:au wade 'a Motion to award a tentitive contract for the City Hall to Stills & Varnum for $35,475.00, which will include Number 1,'2 and 3 alternates and including a $220.00 septic tank deduction. Ms. Hurck seconded the lotion and it carried unanimously. There being no objections, Item 3. was moved to Item 2. Item 2. Election Board Appointments On a Motion by Mr. Hurck, seconded by Mr. Eberwoin and carried unanimmsly, "A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION BOARD FOR JUAE let. CITY FUCTION; PROUD= AN .EFFECTIVE DATE," was adopted naming the following people to the Election Board No. It ANN RO341 RF.TIiA LCOG145t PAT !FAULIU, ADDLE MAE WSW, AND FRDA PETIELL. Election Board No. 2: t-.LI, CCRBETT, INGRID -WILE, VIOLA FERdELL, HILDA PFIRHAN AND IENA Item 3. Irj Development Road Behind Bank Mayor Thum read the Minutes of the special Meeting of May 5, 1965, of the Zoning. Board. Yr. Jandreau made a Motion to accept the Zoning Board's recommendation in accordance with specifications indicated on the bubmitted drawing with an amendment that the crown of the road be a minimum of 6 feet above mean sea level and with a minimum of 2 - 12 foot lanes including curbs and gutters and upon compliance with the above that the stop order be recir.ded. Mr. Hurck seconded the lotion and it passed unanimmsly. There being; no other bu31r.e3s t.
