(Revised) Department: Administrative Services Summary: Paul Ring will be promoted to Commander on May 21st; however, the City is recognizing his new title at this evening's meeting. Commander Ring began his career with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office in January1986 as a Deputy assigned to the Central Precinct, which at that time covered Merritt Island, Rockledge and Cocoa.Commander Ring attained the rank of Corporal in 1988 and remained in that capacity until his reassignment to the Canaveral Precinct and served as a Field Training Officer. While at Canaveral Precinct, he served as an Agent and Corporal. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1996. Commander Ring continued as a Sergeant at Central Precinct and Special Operations. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2001 and was assigned at Central, Special Operations and North Precinct. In 2013 he returned to Cape Canaveral and later in the year was promoted to Major. The City thanks Paul for his leadership, hard work and dedication during his tenure at Cape Canaveral Precinct. Submitting Department Director: Mia Goforth2! Date: .514 Attachment: None.
