Randy Wasserman, Chairperson, called the meeting to Order at 7:00 p.m. All persons giving testimony were sworn in by Kate Latorre, Assistant City Attorney. MEMBERS PRESENT Randy Wasserman Kelley Sweet Jensen Judi Cameron Joyce Kelley MEMBERS ABSENT Walter Bowman OTHERS PRESENT Kate Latorre Duree Alexander Barry Brown NEW BUSINESS Chairperson 1 st Alternate Assistant City Attorney Recording Secretary Planning Director Approval of Meeting Minutes: May 18, 2009. Motion by Kelley Jensen, seconded by Randy Wasserman, to approve the meeting minutes of May 18, 2009. Vote on the motion carried unanimously. 2. Request No. 09-05 - Replace Sign Face - Church Street Center, 8177 N Atlantic Avenue - Nell Pritchett, Applicant. Cary Spurlock, Representative for the applicant, explained that the existing structure would remain; he was only replacing the sign face; there would be blank spaces available on the sign for new tenants; he wanted to paint the sign structure, but didn't know what color would be acceptable, and the sign would not be illuminateu. Community Appearance Board Meeting Minutes June 15, 2009 Page 2 Discussion followed regarding choosing a color to paint the sign structure. Following discussion, the Board members and Mr. Spurlock agreed that the sign structure should be painted a shade of tan to match the building. Motion by Kelley Jensen, seconded by Randy Wasserman, to approve Request No. 09-05, with the condition that the sign structure be painted tan to match the building. Vote on the motion carried unanimously. 3. Interview Potential Board Member - Rosalie Wolf. The Board members interviewed Rosalie Wolf, as a potential new Board member. She advised that she has lived in the city for 25 years. Her husband, Tom Quinn, was a member of the Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals, and was a general contractor that constructed many residential homes in Cape Canaveral, over the past 25 years. She stated that she was interested in serving on the Board to give her expertise in building and design back to the community. OPEN DISCUSSION Barry Brown, Planning Director, reported that the financial disclosure forms needed to be completed and turned into the City Clerk's office no later than June 26th. The Board members responded that they did not receive the form. Kate Latorre, Assistant City Attorney, advised that she would look into the matter. Mr. Brown advised that he would send an e-mail to all the Board members advising them of whether or not they were required to submit a financial disclosure.
