It seemed to me to be a simple question that would result in a prompt response. I have made follow-up requests requesting an answer to my question---still no response. Another week has passed and still no reply to my simple request. Again I am asking for the building code that prohibits a tie-in to an existing utility line. If you don't know, just say so and I will ask someone else....Maybe the Mayor or City Manager. Also in one of your previous emails you stated that the requirements for a lot split and a subdivision are essentially the same except for the approval process. I disagree. Having read the ordinances for a "lot split" and also for a "subdivision" I see significant differences. Please specify the ordinance in the "lot split" ordinance that requires that utility lines must available as a requirement for approval of the lot split. This is a simple lot split, not a subdivision or a PUD. A prompt response would be appreciated. Florida has a very broad public records law. As a result, any written communication created or received by the City of Cape Canaveral officials and employees will be made available to the public and/or media upon request, unless otherwise exempt.
