REPORT — 2014/15 FY
Dear Mayor Hoog and City Council Members:
The Cape Canaveral Community Redevelopment Agency was established August 21, 2012 with
the adoption of Resolution No. 2012-16. On December 18, 2012, the City Council adopted the
Community Redevelopment Plan and created the Redevelopment Trust Fund by adoption of
Ordinance No. 23-2012.
Since the City of Cape Canaveral is financially accountable for the activities of the Cape
Canaveral CRA, its governing board is the same, and its relationship to the City is significant,
its financial activities are reported on a blended basis as if it were part of the primary government
as a major special revenue fund.
Per F.S. 163.356(3)(c), " ...An agency authorized to transact business and exercise powers under
this part shall file with the governing body, on or before March 31 of each year, a report of its
activities for the preceding fiscal year, which report shall include a complete financial statement
setting forth its assets, liabilities, income, and operating expenses as of the end of such fiscal
year. At the time of filing the report, the agency shall publish in a newspaper of general
circulation in the community a notice to the effect that such report has been filed with the county
or municipality and that the report is available for inspection during business hours in the office
of the clerk of the city or county commission and in the office of the agency."
The fiscal year for the CRA is October 1 through September 30. This Report is for the period
from October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015 (FY 2014-15).

CRA Accomplishments FY 2014-15:
• Approve FY 14/15 Line Item Transfer within the CRA Budget in the amount of
$109,883.75 for Oak Lane Improvements and Striping Projects within the CRA.
• Resolution No. 2015-04; a joint Resolution with the City Council authorizing a loan from
the City to the Cape Canaveral Community Redevelopment Agency, in an amount not to
exceed $470,000.00, for purposes of commencing certain redevelopment activities
within the redevelopment area related to replacing and upsizing Lift Station No. 6,
constructing water line improvements and/or such other activities in order to promote
anticipated economic growth.
• Passed Resolution No. CRA -02; adopting a budget for the CRA for Fiscal Year
2015/16.
• Passed Resolution No. CRA -03; amending the budget for Fiscal Year 2014/15.
• Approved a meeting schedule and financial reporting requirements for Fiscal Year
2015/16.
Financial Report:
• Revenues FY 2014-15: $126,140 (Intergovernmental)
• Expenditures FY 2014-15: $39,642
