Chairman H. Renshaw called the meeting to order at 5:08PM. He announced that Gene Petre would be a voting member at this meeting to make quorum. II. i. Dattilo moved and G. Petre seconded that the Minutes ofthe May 24, 2004 Meeting be accepted as written. The motion carried. III. The Parks and Recreation Budget To -Date Report was neviewed. IV. The Director, N. Hanson, presented her reports. Board Members were pleased to team that Manatee Park construction was near completion. N. Hanson confirmed final items such as signage were on order. • It was learned that the FRDAP grant for Banana River Park had been approved. It was anticipated the city would move forward with Plans improve the area accordingly as soon as possible. • Other items on the past Quarterly Report were reviewed without formal comment. V. Chairman H. Renshaw confirmed the issue of the IITF Property would remain tabled as an item of unfinished business. VI. Under New Business it was noted that The FRDAP grant for renovating Canaveral City Park had not been approved. After discussion, B. Gorham moved that the Board endorse action by the Director and City to reapply for this grant after tweaking some aspects since the needs for renovating were obvious. G. Petre seconded the motion which then carried unanimously by those members present. VII. There being no further discussion, Chairman H. Renshaw advised the next Board Meeting was scheduled for September 27, 2004. G. Petre moved to adjourn the meeting, and B. Specht seconded the motion. It then was passed unanimously and Chairman H.
