GENERAL MANAGER
I am responsible for all aspects of the organization, management, and sales for a medium duty truck dealership
with annual sales exceeding $15 million and 50 employees. Among my duties: negotiate and draft all contracts
with vendors and customers, directly handle all personnel and benefit matters including hiring, discipline as well
as motivating, prepare budgets and sales forecasts, purchase and administer all insurance matters including
general liability, property, as well as workers compensation and serve as risk/safety officer, manage cash flow,
establish corporate financial goals and evaluate performance, as well as manage customer satisfaction programs.
Negotiate, draft and manage performance of contracts with all key vendors and suppliers, among which are
global truck and component manufacturers. Participated in two week long trade mission to South Korea in 2000,
in establishment of Hyundai Truck operations in the United States. Locate, prepare, solicit and monitor
significant governmental (federal/state/county/local) bids and contracts.

Secured millions of dollars of contract work with large municipalities and large corporations

TOWNSHIP SUPERVISOR (chief elected official)
Grosse Ile Township is a Michigan general law township with a population of 11,000, an annual budget in
excess of $60 million, and 100 employees. The community is comprised of 14 islands covering 10.44 sq. miles
in the Detroit River and Lake Erie, linked together by numerous bridges. Under my direction, the township
managed comprehensive municipal services including, police, fire, planning/zoning/building, water, sewer and
sewer treatment, rubbish collection, recreation, marina, golf and airport. As the chief elected official I was
responsible and actively involved with all facets of the township’s management and daily operations, including
purchasing, preparing and monitoring public bidding, contract negotiations and performance evaluation,
personnel matters, budgeting and auditing, and elections. As chief elected official, I ran bi-weekly televised
board meetings and was the primary face of the organization with the public as well as with all suppliers and
vendors.
Key Accomplishments:
Drafting, balancing and administering eight comprehensive municipal budgets
Successfully negotiating and settling three major collective bargaining agreements
Managing major infrastructure bidding, contracts and performance including: roads, water mains,
sewers, bridges, runways, bike paths & sidewalks, and a variety of professional services
