12/06 – present Director of Recreation & Parks – City of Albany, GA
• Responsible for the administration, budgeting, overall program format , and master plan implementation for a department of 65+ full-time and 200+ part-time employees, a $4.02 million
dollar operating budget and a $3.6 million dollar capital/SPLOST budget. Budget, staff, and park areas have increase each year of employment.
2008 department expansion including staff to program and maintain Ray Charles Park, the Green Way Trail, Veteran’s Amphitheater, and the downtown Government Center Park.
2009 development of ARPD Green Team, a staff and volunteer driven effort to improve the environment, and reduce departmental expenditures, through local clean-up events.
2009 acquisition of City of Albany arborist and tree crew.

5/02 – 12/06 Director of Parks & Recreation – Putnam County, FL
• Responsible for the organization, direction, programming, & maintenance for 17 parks, 14 boat ramps, 1 community center, 1 senior center, 1 aquatic center & 3 environmental areas.
• Department grew from a staff of 6 full-time and 3 seasonal part-time in 2002 to 8 full-time and 12 seasonal part-time employees in 2004.
• Youth athletic programs increased by 72% during 1st year of employment, adult programs increased by 40%. Growth has been steadily increasing each year.
• Budget increased from $534,762 in FY2001-2002 to over $1.4 million in FY2004-2005.
• Awarded over $1.2 million in state and federal grants from FY03/04 to 2006.
• Instrumental in securing lands and additional funding for the construction of the Palatka-Putnam County – Edgar Johnson Senior Center, through cooperative agreements with the Putnam
County School Board and Putnam Habitat for Humanity.
• Actively involved with collaborative efforts to establish the Palatka Police Athletic League (PAL), and the Palatka Weed & Seed Initiative.

• Initial department organization, program, and budget development. This new department, governed by a five-member community board, was established in January 2001 in response to US
Census statistics.

• Conducted initial economic impact research.

• Yearly budget analysis and projections (estimated to exceed $300,000 per year in revenue).
