CITY COUNCIL
November 24, 1964
A Special Emergency Meeting of the City Council of the City
Of Cape Canaveral was called by Mayor Thum and held at 5 :30 P.X. at the
City Hall annex, 190 Jackson Ave., Cape Canaveral, Florida to take up
the matter of the flooding conditions in the City.
City Officials were given proper notice by the City Clerk.
Mayor Thum called the meeting to Order at 5:30 P.H. and
the roll was called by the Clark. City Officials present were: Mayor
Richard R. Thum, Councilmen; Wm. Eberwein, Eugene Jandreau, Jack Hurck,
City Manager — J. D. Dadgett, City Attorney — T. David Burns, City Clerk —
Donna J. Anderson, and the Sergeant —at —arum — Chief L. M. Nichols.
After discussion and suggestions from citizens on methods of
alleviating the flooding conditions and explanations of possible methods
from the City Engineer, Mr. Charles Givens. Mr. Hurck made a Motion to
appropriate the sum of $5,000. for Storm Drainage Funds. Mr. Jandreau
seconded the Motion and it was passed by the unanimous vote of the Council.
There being no .other business before the Council, the Meeting
was adjourned an a Motion by Mr. Hurck, seconded by Mr. Janreau and
passed unanimously.
