HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 05-05-1964R:tiGULAR Me.'5TING OF CITY COUNCIL May 5, 1964 The Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida convened at 7:30 P.M., on the 5th day of May, '1964 at the temporary City Hall, 71,10 Astronaut' Rlvd., Cape Canaveral,, Florida. On a I-lotion by Hr. Jandreau and seconded by Hr. Eberwein and passed unanimously, the Meeting was recessed to the Fire Hall, 120 Jackson Ave., where -upon the Meeting reconvened The City Clerk called the Roll and Officials present were: Mayor Richard R. Thurm, Councilmen; Jack Hurck, F. L. Murphy,.Wm. Eben+ein, Eugene Jandroau, John McCarey - City Attorney, Donna J. Anderson - City Clerk, Chief W. H. Kimberley - Sargent -at -Anna. The Meeting was called to Order by Mayor '11hurm. Mevor Thum read the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 21, 1964, and the Minutes were approved as corrected, the Minutes of the Special Meeting of April 28, 1964, and the Minutes of the Special Meeting of May 2, 1964 were approved as read. OLD 6U947F:SS Item 1 Ordinance No 64-11 Meeting Place - 2nd +,nd Final Reading Upon 2nd and Final Reading by Mayor Tnurtn, Hr. Jandreau made a Motion that the Ordinance be adopted. Mr. Murphy seconded the Motion and it was carried unanimously. On a Motion by Mr. Jandreau, seconded by Mr. Murphy, 130 Jackson Ave. was designated as the Meeting Place for the Meetings of the City Councils The Motion passed by the unanimous vote of the Council. Mr. Murphy trade a Motion to adjourn. There was no second to the Motion. Item 2 Amendment'- Ret He-Zoning and Variance (Morris) On a Mi,tion by Mr.. Murphy, seconded by Mr. Eberwein and passed unanimously Item 2, was tabled, until the next regular meeting. Nf!' miII1244 Item 1 Float Rentals on the Roach (Rarher) Mr. Murphy trade a Motion that the request be granted. Hr. Zurek seconded the Motion, which carried with Mr. Murphy, Mr. Hurek and Mr. Eberwein voting in favor of the Motion and Mr. Jandreau abstaining. Beer and Wine Permit (Robson) On a Motion by Mr. Jandreau, seconded by Mr. Murphy and passed unaninously, Item 2. was tabled for study by the City Attorney. Item 3. Traffic Sig" On a Notion by Mr. Jandreau, seconded by Mr. Hurck' and passed unaniumuoly, the matter was tabled pending information from the County. Item 4. Fire Department — Resolution Mr. Murphy made a Motion that Item 4,be tabled as the tatter had been resolved. Mr. Jandreau seconded the Motion and it carried with Mr. Janarcau, Mr. Murphy and Mr. Eberwein voting to table and Hr. Hurck voting against. On a Motion by Mr. Murphy to .adjourn, seconded by Mr. Jandreau and passed by unanimous vote, the Meeting was adjourned this the 5th day of May, 1964. Approved this 22nd day of May, 1964 PAGE z, OFZ
