City Officials Present worst Georee 0. Rogers, C. F. Applegate, A. D. Anderson, William Ebereein, Leo R. Collins, City Clark, Shirley Jenkins, and City Attorney, neorge Ritchie. Absent want itayors R. A. Jamieson. Vesting was called to order by Mr. Reveres President of the council. 1. Tho Troasury Report for the month ending Ley 31, 1963, and a list of bills to be paid was read. Sr. 'Anderson questioned the telephone bill in the amount of 1188.72. , The City Clerk stated that this bill was for long distance cellos and addinC a new number to the present system for City Hall, A LOTION was made by Lr. Appleestes second by 6'r. Collins and passed by two thirds of the council that the be'accepted treasury report/and bills be paid, (Lr. Anderson abstained.) 3. Sr. Collins suggested that the council write a "thank youe letter to the Inspectors and Clerk of the Election, on a'R0T10R made Mr. Eberwein and passed by by Ps. Applegate, second b3/two thirds of the councils Mr. Collins' was directed to write the letters (Mr. Collins abstained) It. The Next Item on the Agenda was to canvass election returns. The absentee ?allots were given to the council by the City Clerk. After the council had ascertained that they were valid, the votes were added to the Tally Sheets and Election Board's reports which the City Clark had turned over to the council. The City Council, then proceeded to go over the Report of the Election Board, and accepted the Election Foard's Report as submitted. A copy is attached' hereto and made a part hereof. Gould '(139) votes. Jack Iiurck (1h6)' votes Eugene J. Jandraou (204) votes '. Lacy B. Latta (137). votes Ira D. Yillor (119) votes r. I. Murphy (142) votes B. R. Purcell ( 96) votes George 0. Rogers (107) votes Flutarco.A. Scebarozi (136) votes Roy W. Staton (139) votes Richard R. Thurn (191) votes A. D. Anderson 5 Lao B. Collins 4 Ed luby 1 M. Face 1 Therefore, by virture of their plurality those that were elected for two (2) year terms werel Eugene J. Jandrow, Richard R. Mum, and William hbereein,'and by virtue of their plurality those that were elected for a one (1) year term were Jack Rurck and F. I. Murphy. 6. Mr. Rogers announced that the first moating of the now council would be hold June 18, 1963. A 1107ION was made by Mr. Applegate, second by Pr. Ebareoin and passed unanimously that the meeting be adjourned.
