All March 6, 1963
A Special Meeting of the City Council of Cape Canaveral, was hold at
7130 P.M., March 6, 1963, at the Temporary City Bell, 109 Buchanan Ave.,
Cape Canaveral, Florida.
City officials Present morel George 0. Rogera, C. F. Applegate, A. D.
Anderson, William Sberweln, Lao B. Collins and City Clerk, Shirley Jenkins.
City officials Absent were$ Mayor R. A. Jamieson and City Attorney,
George Ritchie.
The meeting was called to order by George Rogers, President of the Council.
Mr. Briley of Briley, Wild & Associates was introduced to the council. Mr.
Briley stated that a map of the city had been made, a house count made and a
field survey was being made and that the first phase of the report would be
ready soon. Mr. Briley stated that it wall most important to Briley, Wild & Aseoci-
ates and to the City that the City umploy a fiscal agent who would work with Briley,
Wild & Associates and the City all a financial advisor and that he would handle
the Bonds for the City. Mr. Briley stated that he had discussed this with three
Bond Companies and that Leady, Wheeler & Alammer Associates, Orlando, Florida,
anIAb*66UsoY told him that they were interested in buying bonds, but felt that
the City of Cape Canaveral should hire a fiscal agent to handle the selling of
bonds and suggested Mr. Durmce.
Mr. Durnace was introduced to the council and submitted a proposal to the
council. Mr. Rogers read the proposal to the council, it was agreed that the
proposal be given to the City Attorney for his legal opinion and that the council
would take action at the next meeting.
Mr. Applegate made a motion that the meeting be adjorned, ascended by Mr.
gberwain and passed unanimously.
Meeting was adjorned at 8130 .P.M.
