A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
CANAVERAL, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA; REAPPOINTING
MEMBERS TO THE BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
BOARD OF THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL; PROVIDING FOR THE
REPEAL OF PRIOR INCONSISTENT RESOLUTIONS;
SEVERABILITY; AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida has by Section 22-
27, Cape Canaveral City Code, established a board known as the Business and Economic
Development Board; and
WHEREAS, it is now incumbent upon the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral to
reappoint Members to said Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL,BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA,AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. The foregoing recitals are deemed true and correct and are hereby
incorporated herein by this reference as a material part of this Resolution.
Section 2. Reappointments to Business and Economic Development Board. Pursuant to
Section 2-171(e)of the Cape Canaveral City Code,the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral
hereby reappoints the following individuals to the Cape Canaveral Board indicated below:
James Massoni and Andrew Serafin shall each be reappointed to the Business and
Economic Development Board, to serve until November 1, 2018.
Following completion of each of their second three(3) year terms, the Members shall not be eligible
for reappointment to said Board for an additional term consistent with the limitations set forth in section
2-171(f),City Code.
Section 3. Repeal of Prior Inconsistent Resolutions. All prior resolutions or parts of
resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict.
Section 4. Severability. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, word, or portion
of this Resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such
holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion hereto.
Section 5. Effective Date.This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption
by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida.
