The City of Cape Canaveral is in receipt of your Request For Information regarding the property
located at 9009 Astronaut Blvd. in Cape Canaveral. Your questions include the following (please
see responses below each question):
1. How far back are records maintained by this Department?
a. City records begin the year of our incorporation, 1963,
2. Are there any required Department environmental permits, registrations or notifications and
if any, the compliance status and any reported violations?
a. The City of Cape Canaveral does not regulate environmental permits, registrations or
notifications. The subject property was required to obtain permits from the following
agencies at the time of construction of the hotel facility, and is subject to ongoing
compliance: St. John's River Management District (SJRWMD) for onsite
retention/detention of stoirnwater, and Florida Department of Environmental
Protection (FDEP,) for construction of onsite sewage disposal system.
3. Are there any petroleum product/hazardous material storage tanks, both aboveground and
underground?
a. Not to our knowledge,
4. Are there any releases of petroleum products and/or hazardous materials?
a. Not to our knowledge.
5. Are there any building construction and/or building demolition permits?
a. There are currently no open permits for this address. City records indicate that there
have been 15 pennits issued to this address:
