SPECIAL WORKSHOP MEETING
MARCH 2, 1992
A Special Workshop Meeting of the Cape Canaveral City Council was
held on March 2, 1992, at the City Hall Annex, 111 Polk Avenue,
Cape Canaveral, Florida. The meeting was called to order at 7 :38
P.M. by Mayor Joy Salamone.

1. Presentation of Final Draft of Wastewater Treatment Plant
Expansion/Modification and Reclaimed Water Reuse System
Participants: Dyer, Riddle, Mills & Precourt, Inc.
Briley, Wild and Associates, Inc.
Mr. Ron Ferlin, Dyer, Riddle, Mills & Precourt, Inc. , gave an
indepth slide presentation of their firm's "Evaluation of
Preliminary Engineering Report on Wastewater Treatment Plant
Expansion/Modification and Reclaimed Water Reuse System. " His
presentation included a comparison of projected populations, a
comparison of projected wastewater flows, an overview of regulatory
requirements regarding wastewater facilities capacity/analysis
requirements, a summary of land application requirements, an over-
view of financial impact and a proposed wastewater program
implementation schedule.
During the question and answer period which followed, it was
evident that it would be necessary determine if the necessary land
required for the RIB option would be available at the Cape
Canaveral Air Force Station. Mayor Salamone agreed to make a
concerted effort to assist Mr. Spooner in obtaining a commitment
from the Air Force.
Mayor Salamone requested that this item be placed on the agenda for
the Workshop Meeting, March 12 , 1992, to determine if the City
desires to exercise the second option and, if so, what alternatives
are to be explored.
Mayor Salamone noted that Council had been requested to call a
Special Council Meeting the week of March 2nd on the Bungee Jump.
Since a Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for March 5,
1992, a 7: 00 P.M. to negotiate a contract with the City Attorney,
this item can be placed on the March 5th Agenda with the consent of
three members of Council. All members concurred.
The Special Workshop Meeting was adjourned at 10: 05 P.M.
