Youth Center supervisor, Brenda Seeger, resigned to take a full Clime job
at KSC. Her last day at the Youth Center was on August 26th. The job opening
was posted and 1 conducted interviews in September. The position has not yet
been filled. 1 am anticipating the Youth Center will be open again by late
October.
Youth Center attendance:
July - 317 (an average of12.0S per day of operation
August - 254 (an average oil 2.70 per day)
Special activities and classes were held at the Recreation Center for
elementary school aged children during June and July. A report on these
activities is attached.
Kingdom Animalia was held at the Recreation Center on September 10th
seventy people were in attendance. A report is attached.
Registration was held in September for the YMCA t,ball program for youths 5-
10 years of age. The program will be held at the Little League field at
Canaveral City Park beg', nning in October and lasting for (1 weeks.
Connnencement documentation required by the state before monies for
the FRDAP grants can be conmdtted, is being prepared so the Boardwalk
project at Manatee Sanctuary Park can move forward. As soon as that package
is completed and mailed, 1 will start on the commencement documentation for
the grant for Canaveral City Park. 1 have also been working on the grant
application for Manatee Sanctuary Park pavilion/restroom, educational kiosk
and trail which has an October 13th submittal deaulline.
