November 27, 1962
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City. of Cape
Canaveral, was held at 7:30, P.M., November 27, 1962, at the
Recreation Hall of the Cocoa Palms Trailer Park
City Officials Present were: Mayor. R. A. Jamieson, George
G. Rogers, Leo H. Collins, A. D. Anderson, William Eberwein, City
Attorney George Ritchie and City Clerk, Shirley Jenkins. Absent:
C. P. Applegate:
Meeting was called to order by the President of the Council.
1. Sewerage Disposal System: Mr. Starling, Attorney for
Shuford Mills submitted an agreement to the City Council for their
acceptance to permit Shuford Mills to install sewerage on their
property. It was suggested that the City Attorney and Mr. Starling
get together and go over the agreement. The following changes were
agreed on by the City Attorney and Mr. Starling.
(1) Paragraph 1, add "and constitutes land belonging
to landowners."
(2) Paragraph 2. add "'except as herein provided. All
roads and property of the City used under this agree-
ment shall be replaced in the same condition as it was
prior to use."
(3) Paragraph 4, Insert the word "unreasonable" after "any"
and before "restriction" insert the words "under this
agreement" after "whatsoever" and before "provided."
(q) Paragraph 5. delete the words "and after five years"
and insert the words "any time."

(5) Paragraph 6. This paragraph was added "Any plans..
for Sewerage Engineering or installation shall be
approved by the State Board of Health . and shall be in
conformance with any and all City Ordinances.
(6) Paragraph number 6 was changed to 7, add the words
"unless sooner terminated by purchase by the City of
Cape Canaveral or Mutual agreement."
The Agreement was then read to the Council with changes, after
a general discussion, avote was polled to accept or not to accept
the agreement. The vote was three for accepting agreement, Mr
Anderson, Mr. Eberwein,anI Mr. Rogers and one against Mr. Collins.
The agreement was then signed by the Mayor and attested by the
City Cleric..
2. The next item was ,Utility Tax - A letter from the "Busineca-
man Association was read to the Council and is attached hereto and
made a part hereof. A general discussion was held on a proposed
Utility Tax. It was agreed by the City Council that discussion
be held at a later date on the Utility.Tax.
On a Motion made by Mr. Eberwein, seconded by Mr. Anderson and
Passed unanimously that the meeting, be adjorned. Meeting was
adjorned at 9:50 P.M.
