The Cape Canaveral Recreation Advisory Board
met on Monday, Flay 23 at 5;00 p.m.
Members present: Colin Finnigan, Bill Morrison,
Harvey Renshaw, Sandy Butler and Nate Jones
Members absent: Bill Schmidt, Marianne Kulao,
Larry Leonhardi and David Downing
Also present: Nancy Hanson, Recreation Director
In the absence of the chairman, the vice-chairman,
Colin Finnigan called the meeting to order.
Minutes of the March 7th meeting were not available.
The financial report was reviewed.
Director's report included an update on the play-
ground project, plans to install o volleyball not
on the west side of City Pork. Plans for summer
recreation more relayed to the Board. Cape Canaveral
will be providing free bus transportation for those
children wishing to attend the county program in
Merritt Island. Tennis and racquetball tournament
reports were reviewed and disoussud.
Activity reports for March and April were reviewed.
A draft of the Recreation Center flyer was
reviewed, H. Renshaw suggested that bright colors
be used and that information be added on special
classes.
The 1986-89 proposed budget figures will be
included in the July Board packet.
