2012 ANNUAL REPORT
Dear Mayor Randels and City Council Members:
The Cape Canaveral Community Redevelopment Agency was established August 21, 2012
with adoption of Resolution No. 2012-16. On December 18, 2012, the City Council adopted
the Community Redevelopment Plan and created the Redevelopment Trust Fund by adoption
of Ordinance No. 23-2012.
Per F.S. 163.356(3)(c), -...An agency authorized to transact business and exercise powers
Under this part shall filcwvith the, governing body, on or before March 31 of each year, a report
of its activities for the preceding fiscal year, which report shall include a complete financial
statement setting forth its assets, liabilities, income, and ol-,wrating expenses as of the end of
such fiscal year. At the time of filing the report, the agency shall publish in a newspaper of
general circulation in the C01111111.111ity a notice to the effect that such report has been filed with
the county or municipality an(] that the report is available for inspection during business hours
in the office: of the clerk of the city or county commission and in the office of the agency"
The fiscal year for the CRA is October 1. through September 30. This Report is I'M the period
fi-orn August 21, 2012 to September 30, 2012. The Redevelopment Trust Fund was created
after FY 2011-12-, therefore, it was not possible to, prepare a financial statement oi- audit for FY
2011-12. A financial statement and the corresponding audit will be presented in the next
year's Annual Report which Nvill cover FY 2012-13.
City Staff, surveyor and Property Appraiser's Office personnel are currently making minor
revisions to the legal description of the CRA b0Undary. Boundary revisions will be addressed
at future CRA Board and City Council meetings.

In future years, the Annual Report will reflect additional items including:
• How much money came into the trust fund from ,vhich taxing entities,
• Projects finished, started, planned
• Related costs of the projects
• Description of the CRA area(s) and any changes over last year
• Jobs created, if applicable-
• Construction projects generated by CRA
• Dollars added to the tax base, if available
• CRA history, as appropriate
