Special Projects
Shuffle Board Courts
The southeast corner of the Shuffleboard shade shelter was rebuilt. The roof is now structurally sound
and waterproof. The whole facility was power washed and looks like new.
Manatee Sanctuary Park
The damage to the entrance gate by a vehicle last weekend has been repaired.
Special Events/Programs
Friday Fest
The February Friday Fest was well attended and made for a wonderful kick off for our 2015 event year.
Attendance to our March Friday Fest suffered due to the cold and blustery weather but our department
received numerous compliments on the "Just Us" band from both citizens and City employees. We are
now gearing up for April's event and are anticipating an exceptional turnout. The April Friday Fest is
situated on a busy holiday weekend and the entertainment scheduled for that evening, "Green Sunshine",
is a nationally recorded Funk band coming from Tampa, Florida. The City of Cape Canaveral will be
hosting the beverage booth for the April event.
