HomeMy WebLinkAboutFW Economic Opportunity Overlay DistrictDavid,
FYI,
I received a call from Art Berger today. He indicated that he heard
from Noel Droor, P.E. and Campbell Surveying that a developer had the 3
acre parcel north of AJT under contract to build a hotel.
He said he thought the city code would not allow a hotel on 3 acres.
I informed him of the EOOD code sections and he asked for a copy (see
correspondence below).
He indicated that Bill Mays bought the AJT property on December 14,
2013 and would have been interested in buying the 3 acre parcel to the
north for hotel use if he knew the code would allow it.

Hi Art,
Happy new Year!
It was good to talk with you.
Please find the Economic Opportunity Overlay District (EOOD) Code
sections attached.
As to your question about the 3 Acre parcel north of AJT, it is a C2
parcel.
There are no hotel regulations in the C2 zone (they are in the C1
zone).
Section 110-609 of the EOOD allows Hotels and Motels in the C2 zone.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Todd
